There will be a Fall Meet in Brentwood on September 17,18,19. The featured demonstrator will be Zeevik Gottlieb from Israel. Zeevik is an accomplished artist blacksmith with numerous international accolades. He apprenticed with Uri Hoffi and has double team demonstrated with him at a number of different venues. He is a very engaging presenter and we are lucky to include him here in New England.
After two years of no events we are all looking forward to getting together again. Everyone should expect a larger than typical tailgate area. There are already some sizable Iron in the Hat donations including a full forge set up. Forge, anvil, tongs in one lot. Plus there will be books, tools, stock, and on and on.
Zeevik will be teaching a 3 day class at the Ball & Chain Forge in Portland Tuesday thru Thursday before the Meet. It is limited to six students and the tuition will be $400. This will be a unique opportunity to learn from a master. Though not a beginner class as we’ll be swimming in the deep end of the pool, it will be a rich challenge for intermediate and advanced smiths alike.
