13-14 June 2009 Farm days at the Brooklyn Fair grounds. We have a great building to work in with 2 forges. A good place to work, show your goods and sell. This is the place to show the public what we do. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED call Steve Melady to set up a time. 860-228-2185. Admission may be charged, BUT FREE if your working or part of the show

9-12 July 2009 – North Stonington Fair, CT. CBG now runs the Blacksmith Shop at the Fair. Volunteers are needed to talk or demo in the shop. We need to have the list of names to the Fair Committee ahead of time in order to get passes and insurance. Please call Chip Sowalski, 860-287-5295, hardiepritchel@sbcglobal.net. Call ASAP to reserve your time.
If we can’t man this booth/shop, we will lose it. Others are waiting and would like to have the space. This is about our charter to educate the public. For directions and website see

18-19 July 2009 - Zagray Farm Tractor show and flea market, Colchester, CT. Steve Melady, Mark Kellog, James Buckley and Mike Ferri will be set up and demonstrating. Bring your own rig set up and sell or just watch Steve Melady 860-228-2185.

27-30 August – Brooklyn, CT, Fair. We have a great building with 2 forges to work in. Come help out with the show. You don’t have to demo, you could just talk to the people or make and sell your wares. See brooklynfair.org. 3 - October - Johnson & Wales University, Providence, RI. 4th annual weekend of Fire and Family weekend.1:00-4:00 PM (museum opens at 10:00). CBG will demonstrate smithing of culinary tools. Come watch, make or sell culinary tools. Bread and pizza baking, demonstrators will be well fed. Great culinary museum on site with lots of iron implements.
